Champions of Midgard is an epic Viking adventure that is part thoughtful worker placement game and part you versus the monsters of the game dice combat. It runs very deep but no need to worry because it is very manageable once all the pieces are in place. You and other Viking warriors are trying to build up your power to bring the most glory to your seaside village. Players take turns grabbing spaces that span gains to attacks. There is so much going on in this game and it all works together harmoniously. You really feel like you are in a deep adventure in a grand land filled with fantastical beasts.
Champions of Midgard was created by video game maker and board game designer Ole Steiness who designed other titles such as Police Precinct and Spurs.
The game is published by Grey Fox Games, the game minds behind other titles such as Deception: Murder in Hong Kong, Mythos Tales and Harvest Dice.
The person who most recently won glory in a battle plays first.
