January 26, 2021 – New Dixit Universe Board Game Stella Announced By Libellud. The publisher has been teasing a mysterious new title with two illustrations since December and today it is finally known that this title will be Stella, a brand new type of game within the Dixit universe. The big reveal came with an image of the work in progress cover that does a good job of saying “this feels aetherial like Dixit is, but something like I have never seen”, something just a little more dangerous.
The game is designed by Jean-Louis Roubira (Dixit) and Gérald Cattiaux (Master Word) with Illustrations by Jérômeme Pelissier. The release date is not firm but expected to drop at the end of 2021. Will you Dare chasing the stars? Check out the game description from the Libellud site below:
As starhunters, explore the skies and bring light back to your world! Stella is a competitive image interpretation game set in the Dixit universe. From one word choose the same images as the other players to achieve victory. Take risks, but beware of the fall!

Asmodee, the biggest board game publishing group out there, purchased Libellud back in July of 2020. There is no information on their involvement or if this project was in development before they arrived, but regardless, it does make good business sense for Libellud to put out more from a top franchise. Hopefully, the game is good.
ABOUT DIXIT
You play the game with six cards of different interesting images in your hand. Taking turns, one player is the storyteller and needs to use a card from hand and give it a few words to sum it up. The other players have to submit one of their cards they think matches. These are mixed together and everyone votes on which card they think belongs to the clue giver. Point scoring interesting and basically the clue giver wants to say something that isn’t everyone or no one. For 3 – 6 players, games last about 30 minutes.
