Tiny Towns is a new strategy puzzle game that is a little Settlers of Catan and a little bit Tetris. Everyone gets their own 4×4 grid that is their “tiny town”. Each game a set of structures are available to build by gathering resources and arranging them in a specific pattern. Players take turns picking resources for everyone so it is very strategic in planning, and for those puzzle champs, it takes thinking three steps ahead on how you are going to arrange your confided tiny town space. This game has it going on, it’s beautiful, fun and something unique that we have never gotten before. This is the Tiny Towns review.

Fun (8 out of 10)
The game has many different challenges that you don’t normally see which makes for a fun experience. There are many different layers, from getting the right mixture of resources to finding the right spots for them to determining what mix of buildings is going to deliver the right mix of points, many things are at play.
Replayability (7 out of 10)
Every game is a fresh take on a brand new approach to be taken which always keeps people coming back, but what really helps is the building cards. Each game you play with several buildings and each building is selected randomly from a choice of four at the start. This means win conditions and ways to get there change. There is not too much change, but enough to keep it interesting.
Player Interaction (6 out of 10)
A huge part of the strategy is collecting the right resources. Everyone calls out a resource for everyone so playing off that is half the battle. Using what you know they want and denying them what they need is key. That being said, at the end of the day, it is going to be about how tight you can make that town grid of yours. Where you can cram in just the right assortment of buildings.
Quality (8 out of 10)
In terms of piece quality and assortment, Tiny Towns deserves a special prize. There are several different types of wooden building pieces and each one is more detailed than the next. The mechanic to this is incredibly throughout, not just using the right amount of resources across the right amount of puzzle configurations, but making sure all the structures properly coexist with one another.
Art & Style (7 out of 10)
The fun storybook illustration theme is consistent throughout and very adorable. The various building cards are very detailed and well crafted. Echoing the sense of detail mentioned in quality, the amount of well designed 3d pieces that come with this game is baffling and deserves recognition.
