Call to Adventure Epic Origins Board Game on Kickstarter
1. How would you describe your product in a few sentences?
Like the other titles in the Call to Adventure series, Epic Origins is a tabletop game in which players compete to craft the hero with the greatest destiny. You play cards to build your character, cast runes to face challenges, and choose whether to follow a path of virtue or corruption. But Epic Origins focuses on co-op play, pitting the players’ party of adventurers against an evolving Adversary.
2. Introduce the team bringing this to market? What is your background that brought you to launching this?
We’re Brotherwise Games! We’re a small, indie game publisher started by brothers Chris and Johnny O’Neal in 2012. While we remain a small company, we’ve grown to be one of the best-known indie publishers in tabletop. Before going full time on Brotherwise, Chris worked in academia and Johnny was a brand manager for major toy companies here in Southern California.
3. What existing games would you compare your game to?
There’s not much like Call to Adventure out there, but if we had to make a comparison to another game it could be “Splendor with adventure!” You acquire new and better abilities over the course of the game, kind of like acquiring gems in Splendor, but there’s a fair bit of decision making that goes on to make that happen, and in the end, there’s a strong story component. We haven’t played anything quite like it, which is why we made it!

4. What sets your game apart?
People LOVE making characters. Think about all the D&D characters you made that you never actually adventured with. There’s something special about crafting a hero’s story in your head, complete with origin and destiny. Call to Adventure gamifies that process, and adds in rune casting as a fun bonus!
5. How can everyone be assured that they are going to get quality components and you are going to deliver on all the promises you are making?
Brotherwise has a history of successful Kickstarters. We’ve delivered on every Kickstarter we’ve hosted. We’re a small company, but an established one.
6. Why should someone back your project?
We got our start on Kickstarter with Boss Monster back in 2012. The site literally made us who we are. We love the community of backers there and feel a strong sense of obligation to the folks who made our dreams happen. We hope you’ll join us to do it one more time!

Well we are satisfied!
Great insight and enthusiasm from a passionate design team. This seems like a great addition to the already strong series. It has clearly been guided by passionate hands and looks like it is going to be a top-notch product. Take a look at their Kickstarter or website for more info!
