1. How would you describe your product in a few sentences?
MiniSteel is a super portable, quick-fix, battle royale style strategy card game that can be played with 2-4 players. Pick it up and play whenever and wherever you feel like it, because it’s tiny and you can do that!
2. Who is the team bringing this to market? What is your background that brought you to launch this?
Currently, Gremore Games is just my wife Amber and I (Brian). We are both very creative individuals who bring our own skill sets to the table. Amber is a professional photographer and I’m a graphic designer, and we’re both extremely passionate about what we do. We’re also huge gamers (especially me), so when I had the idea to start developing MiniSteel, everything fell right into place and it felt like the perfect fit.
I originally had the idea to develop my own game after a very close friend of mine developed his own game. His included 2” x 2” cards as one of the game’s components and I thought it would be really cool and unique to create an entire game using only those cards and a few other components.
3. What existing games would you compare your game to?
To be honest I’m not aware of any games that are super similar, but the games that helped inspire me as I was creating MiniSteel include Card Thief (mobile), Guild of Dungeoneering, a bit of Exploding Kittens, a dash of Munchkin and even a sprinkle of Dead of Winter. Throw in some GOT in the background as I was designing and BOOM, MiniSteel happened.
4. What sets your game apart?
MiniSteel was designed with one main thing in mind; giving gamers the ability to battle their friends (or enemies after a round or two) a full-fledged strategy card game that fits neatly into a small box that they can take anywhere and play anywhere. Having the ability to bust out MiniSteel while you’re out hiking, on your lunch break, on a boat, in a cabin, skydiving… ok not skydiving, but while doing a bunch of other things is super satisfying!
5. How can everyone be assured that they are going to get quality components and you are going to deliver on all the promises you are making?
We’ve done our research and have chosen a reputable tabletop game manufacturer that offers the highest quality game pieces and service, and we are absolutely dedicated to delivering every copy of MiniSteel to our backers on time.
